Woohoo!!! Great news!

We've got the Sci-fi channel back! Ok, so the news is only subjectively great (for all you TV haters out there), but our cable company took away one of my favourite channels without warning for no apparent reason, like, a couple years ago, and *poof* it's back again, also without warning and no apparent reason. The great thing is that I've totally forgotten how truly crappy (and non-sci-fi) it really is, so I get to rediscover that all over again. But I'll be obliviously happy for a little while at least.

I think I missed that cool looking mini-series "EarthSea"... Anybody see it? Anybody like it?

Just came back from another trip to Canada yesterday. Went for a whole week. You know, I never really like being away from home. It's good to see new things and all but I like the comfort and security of having all my stuff with me and knowing where everything is and being (sorta) the boss and all. I always feel kinda guilty being in some one else's home, never knowing if this is the way they like to do things, not knowing where everything is, feeling like I should be doing something to help to balance out my using up their stuff. Even if it's my parents' place. So, it's good to be back. Well, not really. My wife and kids stayed behind for another week or so to have a little more time off and so that my mother can see her grandkids for a little bit longer. I miss them. But it's good to get some sleep. *sniff*

Wow. Well, although I haven't written in a while, you haven't missed much. Massively busy with my new job. Time for almost nothing else. Still kinda sick, which blows.

Went back to Canada for a couple of days with the family. Visited my parents' new house : a log cabin in the middle of nowhere. Met my brand new little niece : so tiny and so pretty... my kids' are still cuter though! *laugh* Saw my brother's new house : small and needs work... Still jealous, sitting here in my stupid cramped apartment. *sniff* And it was just good to be back in the land of my birth. I missed... the chocolate bars and other treats I can't get here in the NYC area.

As part of my work, I had to take a bunch of pictures of the library and some staff. I borrowed my boss' digital camera and took a bunch of pictures here and there and everywhere. I'll post them in a little gallery some time soon (or not soon).

Well... back on the horse.
